OLDSCHOOL is from Independence, Kansas. Formed in April of 2008 by Danny Blevins (drums and percussion), Roger Banning (guitar, keyboards, percussion, and vocals), and Bill Koch (bass). In May of 2008, we were joined by Steve Barker, who brought with him fresh guitar and vocals. Unfortunately, on July 1 first of 2008, Steve was near fatally injured in an on the job accident and remains incapacitated to date. Our thoughts are with you and your family Steve!! We were then joined by guitarist D.A. Rigby and vocalist Jonathon Laughlin, who was so moved by D.A.’s original song "To The Brave" (a tribute to the troops), that he promptly joined the Army. We salute you Jonathon. Before leaving, he introduced us to Stephanie Ritz, who we immediately signed on as lead vocalist. Steph also plays keyboards, percussion, and harmonica. After completion of the correct formula, OLDSCHOOL was able to rise to the occasion of Entertaining thousands of fans with their old school genre with an rockin’ edge. All clubs and festivals have greeted the band with open arms and generosity. OLDSCHOOL members with their warm hearted outlook and festive personalities bring excitement to all venues with top of the line equipment such as Mesa, Kustum, Traben, fender, Michael Kelly, Ludwig Classic, and Yamaha, plus pro sound reinforcement and lighting. OLDSCHOOL’s eclectic genre covers artist such as Cash, Mama’s And The Papa’s, The Guess Who, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Cameo, The Bangles, The Eurythmics, Kid Rock, Pink, Nickelback, etc… OLDSCHOOL can definitely benefit your venue or festival.
